Our Derbys start out as 3/4" X 6.5" 6061-T651 ALUMINUM Billet.
This old sample of MAJESTY has been tossed around, dropped, banged and bumped for the last 2 years. But put in under a buffer for 5 minutes and it will be as good as new. Try doing something like that with that cheap plated stuff.
Billet wafers anyone???
I could also make this cover out of LEXAN (polycarbonate) if someone wanted a see-thru inspection cover.
